Meet Dr. Silverblatt

Dr. James H. Silverblatt formerly served as the Medical Director at Glow Wellness and brings a depth of knowledge and experience in both traditional Internal Medicine and Functional Medicine.  He has been providing his medical services to Northeast Ohio communities for almost 30 years.   In his years of service to the community, Dr. Silverblatt has worked in private practice as well as in group practices with the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and University Hospitals.  Now, being independent, allows Dr. Silverblatt the flexibility to make excellent referrals to any physician, in any system.  He also is on staff and maintains admitting and consulting privileges at Lake Health.

Dr. Silverblatt not only practices traditional Internal Medicine and may serve as a patient’s primary care physician, but also offers a “Functional Medicine” pathway in which a holistic approach to problems seeking to treat causes of illness rather than symptoms is utilized. His patient care is designed to address the whole human being, encompassing care of the mind and body and recognizing the integral connection between the two. Dr. Silverblatt does so by embracing, whenever possible, a holistic and natural approach to the problem  Judicious use of nutrient infusions and herbal supplements in conjunction with healthy nutritional guidance often take the place of medications and their consequent untoward side effects.

Some common entities which Dr. Silverblatt is adept at treating include:
Immune deficiency disorders like cancer, chronic fatigue, thyroid and adrenal disorders (using natural thyroid replacement preparations as opposed to synthetic whenever feasible), menopausal symptoms, low testosterone,  arthritis, diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia (without using statins), fibromyalgia and many more.
